Internship Progress (Week of February 16th)

Updated: Apr 26, 2020

I was assigned to create a banner for an upcoming event in Mali. Embrace Relief Health Checkup Project Mali 2020 is the name of the event. The event is being held in Mali in partnership with Sweatcoin. Sweatcoin is an app that converts your steps into sweatcoins, to spend on products and services.

Specs:

  • 8' x 4'

  • Embrace Relief and Sweatcoin logo

  • Event name

  • Embrace Relief color palette

I first began creating patterns with both logos. I messed around with the placement of the logos. Dana, the coordinator of this event voiced out that wanted the pattern not to be so cramped and tiny. Therefore, I used less logos and scaled them up. The following banners were given as options for Dana.

Option A:

Option B:

Option C:

Ultimately, dana ended up choosing option C for the logos were evenly spaced out and big enough to be seen. I am hoping to receive some images of the banner at the event.

The CEO Savas asked a couple of us to look at a loop animation made fo donors. After looking at it he asked if there were any revisions to be made. I don't have a copy of the animation but I do have a screenshot of it along with my notes.

Savas agreed with my comments and made type of an email to the animator:

Hi,

The team believes the text is cramped against the edges of the screen which makes it difficult to read. Can you scale down the size of the family and shelter graphic in order to fix the text properly.

For “Congratulations!”:

Slightly enlarge the text

Color it a golden yellow (test out #f2d900)

Too close to edge, needs space to breathe

Can it be animated?

For “You have…better place!”:

Place under family and shelter graphic

Reduce to 2 lines of text

Hard to read, overlaps with graphic

Too close to edge, needs space to breathe

We’ve attached a screenshot with the notes listed above.

Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.

Thank you.

I have yet to see the new version of the animation...
