This week I learned about keyword analysis reports used for online searching by Google Analytics. As a non-profit organization we go by separate guidelines. Mike Rux the digital marketing director at Google gave us some tips on how to select keywords to bring people direct access to the programs they interested in.
Mike Rux' Tips:
1. Clean up irrelevant keywords wasting ad spend.
2. Implement more target audiences, with relevant traffic using keywords that convert.
3. Provide better data by implementing the conversion tracking properly.
4. Also, Savas [the CEO] asked me for a tool to identify the proper keywords for the campaign… We use the Google keyword planning tool and a 3rd party software called SEMRUSH.com.
Embrace Relief's focus programs:
Ad Grants Policy Compliance Guide:

My list for the Cataract keyword report:
1.Sponsor Cataract Surgery
2. Mali Cataract Surgery
3. Cataract Surgery Foundation
4. Blind Charity Foundation
5. Donate Cataract Surgery
6. How to help African Patients
NOTE: I have yet to hear back about the meeting where the team discusses the keyword entries made by the interns. Will update when I hear feedback.
PSA: COVID-19
Recently, we heard the virus made its way into Jersey close to where we reside in Fairfield. Therefore, the CEO asked me to create a short infographic advising the public what to do and what to avoid.
Research:
With all of the news surrounding coronavirus, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with information. Coronavirus is a respiratory infection that is spread from person to person as well as through an infected persons’ coughs or sneezes. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure and include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
The CDC recommends the following for prevention:

Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available
Cover your mouth using your elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze
Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
Avoid contact with people who are sick and stay home when you are sick

Follow CDC facemask recommendations
CDC does not recommend healthy people wear a facemask to protect themselves
Facemasks should be worn by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread to others
Facemask use is crucial for health workers and people taking care of someone with COVID-19 in close settings (at home or in a healthcare facility)
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty
